We are a group of amateur singers from Bruton and the surrounding area dedicated to giving public performances of choral works.
We have around 50 members with a wide range of ages and musical abilities. Our patrons are Charles Hazlewood and Juliet Brown.
Between September and May we present two concerts, each with a small orchestral accompaniment and soloists. Our concerts have been in Bruton at Kings School, St Mary's Church and Bruton School for Girls.
Rehearsals are friendly, informal occasions and take place on Wednesday evenings at King's School in termtime.
Our funding is derived from members' annual subscriptions and the sale of concert tickets. This is supplemented by occasional social/fundraising events. We are also supported by the Friends of Bruton Choral Society whose members value the contribution we make to the life of the community.
Tickets for our concerts and social events go on sale approximately
six weeks beforehand. You can buy barn dance tickets online here,
at Church Bridge Stores or Bruton Pharmacy, or by phoning 07980 913331.
Community Messiah 18 March. We were very sorry to have to postpone this but hope that everyone understands that we could not go ahead, with the weather conditions and warnings that day. We hope to set another date for this and will announce it very soon. All tickets will be held over for this replacement date.
