We are a group of amateur singers from Bruton and the surrounding area dedicated to giving public performances of choral works.
We have around 50 members with a wide range of ages and musical abilities. Our patrons are Charles Hazlewood and Juliet Brown.
Between September and May we present two concerts, each with a small orchestral accompaniment and soloists. Our Carols by Candlelight concert has been at Bruton School for Girls, while the summer concerts have been at King’s School, Bruton.
Rehearsals are friendly, informal occasions and take place on Wednesday evenings at King’s School in term-time.
Our funding is derived from members’ annual subscriptions and the sale of concert tickets. This is supplemented by occasional social/fund-raising events.
We are also supported by the Friends of Bruton Choral Society whose members value the contribution we make to the life of the community.
